The best way to get downtown is by taxi (around 13 euros) or by Aerobus (Line 1, City Center).
It´s very easy to move by subway in Lisbon, but keep in mind that bus is a good option and tram is the best one.
The most famous tram is 28 (Campo de Ourique – Martim Moniz). A little bit crowded of tourists!
In Belem neighborhood, there´s no subway. Take the tram 15 (Alges – Praca da Figueira).
To avoid a lot of tourists, try tram 25. Take the tram at Commerce Square and leave it in front of Estrela Cathedral or close to the Campo de Ourique Market, a very traditional neighborhood!
The best option is take the train at Rossio Station.
Once in Sintra Station, the best option is take the Line 434 to visit the main attractions: Historic Center (village), National Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Mouros Castle and Pena Palace.
If you have time, you can go to Cascais taking the Line 403. From Cascais to Lisbon you can take the train below.
The best option is take the train at Cais do Sodre Station.
If the weather is good, leave the train at Estoril Station. Take a picture of the Estoril Casino´s garden and go to the beach. Walk to your right (north) to Cascais accompanied by fresh ocean air and a “magnifique” view!
In Cascais, you can take a bike for free! There´s a bike station (Bicas) close to the train Station. Unfortunately, this web page is just in Portuguese…There´s a long bike path with stunning views until Guincho beach. Boca do Inferno is very beautiful.
If you prefer public transport, take the line 405 or 415.
